    Late Night Bus From Avery Hill To Greenwich Campus

      Since a lot of the students from Greenwich Campus tend to go to Avery Hill to meet with their peers or go to events at Sparrows. It would be really convenient to have one or two buses going from Avery Hill to Greenwich campus on daily basis and especially after the events, so we can all safely come home.

    10:36am on 31 Jan 18 Hey Ellie -Apologies for taking so long to get back to you, we've only managed to recently relaunch Change One Thing, previously no one had ownership over this system. With the opening of the new SU in the Dreadnought building next year, which will also have a brand new 500 people capacity venue, we have to decide by the end of the academic term whether or not we are closing Sparrows down. The venue is making a (significant) loss for the last 6 years and even this year footfall has dropped ~40% since the beginning of the year. With this in mind, I am working with the University to explore late night buses that bring students from Avery to the venue in Dreadnought and back. The Vice Chancellor has also said this is a possible option, so I am very keen to get this implemented! Best, Meike - SU President

    5:52pm on 31 Jan 18 Hi Ellie, To add to this, Sparrows is open as normal and there are events on tonight, Friday and the rest of the academic year. We are reviewing all of our plans as we are moving to Dreadnought next year, including our offer at Sparrows. When we know more, we'll communicate that to you and all of our members. We'll have more information about our move to Dreadnought at www.suug.co.uk/anewsu. As for the request for late night buses, we love your idea, and we support Meike with her conversations about this.
