Cheyenne O'Kane

President of PR Fraternity

Meet Cheyenne O'Kane. She is currently interning with the Korean Culture Centre over the summer. Last year she was also the President of one of the biggest Academic Societies at Greenwich, The PR Fraternity.

What do you study?

I am currently studying PR and Communications, and I am going into my third year.

What attracted you to the University of Greenwich?

I was attracted to the University of Greenwich because of the great reputation it has, the links it has in the PR world, the beautiful campuses and the great London life it offers.

What makes you Proud to be GRE?

I’m Proud to be GRE because regardless of where you are from, what walk of life or what you are doing, everyone comes together regardless of Sports teams, Societies or any other kind of activity. Everyone is very supportive of each other and we have lots of fun together.

What advice would you give new students this year?

My advice to all new students this year would be to ATTEND ALL YOUR LECTURES! Make sure you take part in as many extracurricular activities you can, as this is where you really make friends and connections and it really does guide your time through University. So get out there and have fun!

What opportunities has The University of Greenwich given to you? The University has given me many opportunities. This year we went to the House of Commons, and we’ve people from big companies such as Ben & Jerry's. This year in particular I have received an internship through one of our amazing lecturers, Katherine, with the Korean Cultural Centre. This has really helped me develop as a future practitioner and as a student as well.

Look out for more Proud to be GRE profiles of our students throughout the year.
