Who can get a Greenwich Inclusion Plan (GIP)?
If you are a student with a diagnosis of a disability, mental health condition, specific learning difficulty and/or long-term medical condition which can impact on your ability to access any aspect of your teaching, learning and assessment and overall student journey.
How can the GIP support you?
The Student Wellbeing Service Disability & Dyslexia team will create a Greenwich Inclusion Plan (GIP), a support plan, outlining the reasonable adjustments, including exam arrangements, that you may need.
The Greenwich Inclusion Plan is shared with all staff linked to you on a need to know basis. For example, your Personal Tutor, Programme Lead, Module Tutors and the exams team, plus any other individual you wish to nominate.
To put reasonable adjustments in place, the university will need to share information with these individuals.
GIP & Extenuating Circumstances:
Aside from putting in place reasonable adjustments for your learning, the GIP can also be used to evidence extenuating circumstances. This means you do not have to spend time or money getting a new letter from GP/healthcare provider or other service to evidence each new EC Claim.
How to get a GIP?
Make an appointment with the wellbeing team – wellbeing@greenwich.ac.uk to discuss how to set up a plan. You will be asked to bring evidence of your diagnosis, so please have this ready.
