Our Liberation Chairs are elected student staff members who represent specific student communities and focus on addressing unique challenges, advocating for change, and creating an inclusive environment for all.
Meet Your Liberation Chairs:
- LGBTQ+ Chair 🌈 - Frankie
Advocates for LGBTQ+ students by fostering safe spaces and promoting acceptance and diversity.
- Women’s Chair 👩🎓 - Maitreyi
Focuses on equality, safety, and empowerment for women students, ensuring their voices are heard.
- Mature Students’ Chair 🎓 - Carmine Musto
Supports students who come to university later in life, often with careers or families, helping them thrive at university.
- Disabled Students’ Chair ♿ - Jessica Tuominen
Champions accessibility and inclusion, working to break down barriers for disabled students.
- Students of Colour Chair ✊🏽 - Jude Okechukwu Ugwu
Amplifies the voices of students of colour, tackling racial inequality, and celebrating cultural diversity.
