1. Postgraduate Students

Lobbied the University’s Estates department in collaboration with the Doctoral Society along with Kent and Canterbury Christ Church SUs to establish two Postgraduate Research rooms (PGR) in Greenwich and Medway, respecitvely:

  • Greenwichsocial space in Dreadnought (room 017 A) and study space in Stockwell Library (room 3005) 

  • Medway - DC 118 at the Drill Hall Library 

2. Race and Inclusion

  • Organised six 'Race Table Talk' sessions to discuss issues affecting BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) students  

  • Dr. Kenisha Linton, Associate Professor in Management from Business School ran the sessions 

  • Over 100 students attended these sessions 

  • Collected valuable information that was passed to the appropriate departments for action.

3. Food Diversity on Campus 

  • Lobbied the University catering services to introduce affordable meal options for students at Avery Hill campus 

4. Student Support and engagement at Avery Hill

  • Held six monthly drop-in sessions 

  • Met over 500 students and collected valuable feedback from 27 students  

  • Concerns like timetable management and placement opportunities were raised at these sessions, which were then formally addressed at Faculty Committee meetings and monthly catch-up sessions with the Faculty of Education, Health, and Human Sciences (FEHHS)
