Ade’s passion is for great stories, well told. She’s taught dramatic writing internationally for twenty years. Her  theatre and film company, Spora, tells the dynamic stories of the African diaspora. Her acclaimed debut play, Pandora’s Box, won a Best New Play nomination in the OffWestEnd Awards, and a nomination for the $100,000  Nigeria Prize For Literature, Africa’s biggest literary award. Her most recent play, The Court Must Have a Queen,  was on at Hampton Court Palace in 2018.  She has a Masters in Film and TV from USC Film School in LA and is a produced screenwriter. As a story analyst in Hollywood, she worked for Sundance, Disney and New Line. She’s also written for a BBC soap and worked in television research.  As a former journalist, her work has been produced/published by BBC Radio 4, The Times Literary Supplement,  the New Statesman, The Guardian, Art Monthly and The Voice. She’s been a judge for film and writing awards in the UK and internationally.
