British-born, of Afro-Arab origins, raised in the United Arab Emirates, and residing in Qatar, Aatika is a third-culture-kid through and through - and her generous exposure to the earth's offerings in people of various colour, culture and creed has definitely informed her curiosity and love for the world and her inhabitants.

What drives her to do and be is definitely this childlike wonder and adoration for all things humanity - the beliefs, the identities, the customs - everything that makes human life meaningful. When her degree is done and dusted, she hopes the least she can do with this greater appreciation and understanding for human beings is to relay that same appreciation and understanding to others and to elicit in them that empathy and interest for their fellow man. It's a big task, but she's certainly going to try.
