Ahoy there! Welcome to the Creative Writing Society!

Our society is all about creating a community of writers, to share work, practice skills, or just meet other like-minded people!

You can be a writer of any kind, short stories, poetry, novels, scripts, journalism, and even non-fiction, all are welcome to the society.

We hold weekly Workshop Wednesdays throughout the term. These can be anything from prompt exercises to workshops focusing on specific writing techniques. Every workshop also has dedicated time to anyone who wants to share their work for critique - there is no obligation to share! This is intended to be a safe space where people feel comfortable and confident, whether you're a casual hobby writer, or an aspiring author, everyone is welcome to attend. 

Throughout the year we also organise events, like quiz nights, meet and greets, and our favourite - poetry nights! There's always something for everyone, you don't have to attend our workshops to go to any of our other events. You can pick and choose what you want to go to!

Our committee is always willing to help anyone who needs it.
