The Sabina Project is a grassroots, student led project honouring Sabina Nessa, raising awareness and creating discussion around violence against women and girls.
Our aims are to create open and healthy discussion around the pressing matter in hopes to educate society.
Sabina Nessa was a daughter, sister, auntie, friend, role model, primary school teacher and Greenwich alumni student.
Sabina graduated from The University of Greenwich with a degree in sociology, continuing on to the University of Bedfordshire where she did her PGCE teaching certificate, eventually going on to being a primary school teacher.
She was on her way to meet her friends at her local pub in Kidbrooke, when she was violently murdered by a stranger in an open space, in broad daylight.
